Highway 89 Records

One of the best projects I have been a part of was a 2012-2013 joint effort between my institution (the Utah Division of Archives and Records Service) and partners from Utah State University, Southern Utah University and the Utah State Library Division to curate collections we all have related to Highway 89. Our efforts were funded through an IMLS grant and from the State Archives end we were able to bring some of our cooler photograph collections to the effort, all of which are now available for 24/7 access on our Digital Archive. The image above is from the Utah Department of Transportation and documents the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam, which Highway 89 now crosses over.
