YEAR OF ZEN: WINTER: DAY 01

Q: What problems need a new kind of thinking?
A: Dreaming up solutions to the problems of the world is an easy trap to fall into (and a difficult one to break free from). With a new year looming I am looking less at radical (read: unlikely) changes and more at leaning hard into continuing to build and refine the positive habits I have been building throughout the year. For example, I have given up drinking during the week but I’d like to extend that deeper into the weekends (when the change of rhythm and pace of routines make it easy to fall into old habits). Up until this year this wasn’t something my brain could contemplate but because of the positive habits I’ve spent this year cultivating in this area I am genuinely looking forward to deepening my improvements with a second annual Stone Cold Sober January.
