Q: How have you worked to deepen your awareness around the racism and sexism that exist all around us?

A: This is an area where I am putting in active effort to deepen my awareness and where I am constantly reminded of how much work there is to do. Probably, like a lot of people, my awareness was forced to grow in 2020 when we were in lockdown and left to confront the murder of George Floyd and process the ensuing protests that followed. I am aware and that is a start but it is only the first step on the journey to being a true ally.
