YEAR OF ZEN: SPRING: DAY 63
Q: Your body is permeable, bringing into itself what it needs to be healthy, as well as sometimes what is unhealthy. Which is which isn’t always clear. Do you find this to be true?
A: Yes, I find to this to be true, most vividly in my consumption of food and alcohol. These are easy traps to fall into. For me, the justification is usually that I am allowing harmful things into my body to relieve stress and assist in helping manage my mental health. It doesn’t take a deep analysis to immediately poke holes in this justification, however, as I usually end up feeling worse (physically and mentally) when I imbibe. This stands in stark contrast to how I feel when I make wise choices and cultivate good things into my body and being.
