YEAR OF ZEN: SPRING: DAY 78
Q: Is it easier to catch someone, or be caught?
A: I generally feel better being in the position of the person who catches someone on the way down than falling myself. Examining why this is leads to illumination. I often put myself into the role of “fixer.” This inherently requires the adoption of some control. It is scary to have things out of control and needing to place trust and faith in others to do the right thing (at least from my perspective). I do know intuitively that real change that has lasting power is born when we can subsume the individual in service of the collective.
