YEAR OF ZEN: SUMMER: DAY 10
Mount Corcoran - Albert Bierstadt
Q: How do you do “non-doing?”
A: I have been keeping this journal alongside a daily reading from a rotating set of books on mindfulness. One of these is “Being Peace” by Thich Nhat Hanh. This practice has become a needed ritual for reflecting, doing, and “non-doing.” Taking moments to pause and “not do” are so valuable. They help me refocus, find my center, and then embark again on the tasks ahead. As with a lot of things, it is something I know the value of while simultaneously needing to build my awareness and practice of on a more regular basis.
