Q: Reflect on a time when you knew it was right to leave. What did you learn?

A: Every leaving I have made in my life has come with a mindful attempt to keep the door open for future engagement. We pass through this life, and our interactions with each other, quickly and it has never made sense to completely close off any relationship that has held value and benefit in my life. There have definitely been times when I have needed to hit pause on a relationship (to sort through emotions, let emotions out, and/or gain perspective). But overall, I would say that this approach to keeping the door open (even a sliver) has served me well.
