YEAR OF ZEN: WINTER: DAY 31

NGC 346 (MIRI image)

Q: Imagine a bell being rung and the space between each hit of the bell. Reflect.

A: In this thought exercise I observe that the chatter and thoughts of my mind momentarily pause when I take time to reflect on the space between each strike of the bell. This is a good reminder of the tenuous nature of thoughts and the practices I can utilize to refocus, recenter, gather my thoughts, and move forward. The goal isn’t to capture and control but to better know and understand the nature of my thinking.
