YEAR OF ZEN: WINTER: DAY 56

Portion of the Carina Nebula

Q: Have you ever experienced being so intimate with something that “it” no longer feels apart from “you?”

A: Yes, I have. And when these rare, precious moments happen they are a magical mirror that reflects the cosmic, eternal, and wonderous interconnectedness of all things. Seeing into that truth offers moments of transcendence and epiphany. It forges us into new shapes and provides perspectives that cannot be denied or unseen. And, the interesting thing is: it doesn’t necessarily take extreme effort to have these experiences. Rather, I think, it is more a matter of committing to a life of curiosity, mindfulness, practice, and vulnerability.
