Q: What gets in the way of doing what you are doing while you are doing it?

A: What doesn’t!? Life is just a loud, messy business sometimes. This makes me think of how I will have the best laid plans to make progress on a project and a myriad of distractions will intrude and soak up my time and attention. And before I know it, the allotted time is gone and progress doesn’t look as substantial as I had hoped for when setting out. I do think that the calculus changes somewhat with activities where full body, physical engagement is incorporated. In those cases the “doing” just happens in pursuit of some objective (like finishing a gym class, climbing a mountain, shoveling a driveway, and so on).
