Q: What does not getting or going anywhere bring up for you?

A: Facing a shame spiral because I am not being active or productive enough is a familiar place, and I live with the need to constantly remind myself that it is okay to ease off the gas, put things periodically in neutral, and just relax. Not just okay, but necessary! A good metaphor my friend Melissa shared about this: you never see Geordi La Forge run the U.S.S. Enterprise engines at warp speed all the time on Star Trek: The Next Generation because if he did the ship would explode and everyone would die.
