Q: Write a few lines about how life depends on you showing up.

A: I have this thought often. Sometimes it isn’t the effectiveness of a thing but the consistency of a thing. It is the process, not the results, that matter. As an example: at work, for almost seven years, I have created a weekly update for our staff that goes out every Friday morning. Even if the quality of a given week’s update isn’t high it still goes out because I value the process and the consistency. And, I have had people remark how much they appreciate that they can rely on that consistency as well. Just one example, but it is one where “showing up” has produced high value and an obvious return on the time and effort invested.
