Q: What was the earliest hard decision you had to make?

A: I am not summoning to mind my earliest hard decision. Or my latest. Life is nothing but decision points that have varying degrees of risk and uncertainty. The decision of what to eat for breakfast…the decision to try and have kids…the decision to be vulnerable with someone else. Every choice has wildly different risks and outcomes. With this understanding, I walk my path aware that difficult choices are ahead and the best I can do is prepare myself to meet them and rise to their challenge. And then make peace with the outcomes and move on to the next…
