Two Trees
In 2012 we planted a tree in our yard that took on extra significance when our daughter showed up the following year. After a rough start, her October Glory maple is now thriving. Its leaves turn fiery red in the Fall, and are highly emblematic of her sassy personality.
Last year we planted a second tree that in advance of the birth of our son. It is a white ash (gifted from a close friend) that up until two weeks ago I feared hadn't made it through the winter. Not the case as it has exploded with leaves and put on noticeable height in a very short time (not unlike its tiny human counterpart).
