This is 40

Yesterday I celebrated my 40th trip around the sun. Who knew that it would prove to be such a weird, and significant year? I have got a lot of thoughts to unpack, but right now isn’t the right time to unpack them. Instead, I am marking the occasion with this post, and spending the weekend with a few of my favorite folks in celebration at Spirit Lake in the High Uintas (a mountain range that I hold sacred). Here’s to 40, and hopefully a whole lot more to come!
