YEAR OF ZEN: SPRING: DAY 07
Q: Is there a space between the sitting still and the decision to move away from it?
A: On a practical level the demands of others, especially an active toddler, make it difficult to find time for sitting still. When I do it is the reminders and thoughts from my mind that make stillness difficult. I have practiced guided meditation in the past and have found focus by examining my breathing, as well as scanning my body and inventorying the physical sensations I too often take for granted. I would do well building more of this into my schedule.
