Q: Even when things seem quite bad, people find ways to be kind, creative, and loving. Reflect.

A: I have this thought often. We seem to be arriving at the end of some things as a civilization and species. At the most scary, are we facing the end of American democracy and life as we know it because of climate change? It is a dark place but I am reminded that every ending is simply a new beginning and that there are things to find hope in. Things like love and kindness. I am also reminded that every human generation has faced struggles and dealt with the pervasive thought that the end was on the horizon. I ultimately choose to believe in people and the power to impact positive change through love, kindness, and community.
