YEAR OF ZEN: AUTUMN: DAY 65
Storm Clouds - Albert Bierstadt
Q: Are you able to shift your focus from the passing weather to the actual sky?
A: The ability to manage thoughts and see them as passing weather is a powerful metaphor and something I aspire to to. Periodically I am successful. It is part of an overall effort to meditate and find a middle way. I know that life will have extreme moments of joy and extreme moments of pain and suffering. But those are extremes and they are rare. Being able to push back to the middle and life life there is core to my aspirations and overall philosophy.
