YEAR OF ZEN: WINTER: DAY 09

Europa, by NASA/JPL-Caltech/SETI Institute

Q: How does grief inform your meditation?

A: Winter is an important season for reflecting on the end of things. I like to look on it as a season for restoration, a time to hunker down, reflect, heal, and prepare for the warmer seasons ahead. Yes, there can be grief found in winter and the pause/end it brings to some things. But there is also hope in understanding it as simply part of a larger cycle.
