YEAR OF ZEN: AUTUMN: DAY 79

Meditation by the Sea - Anonymous

Q: What is an absurd excuse for not meditating? Or an absurd reason to meditate?

A: Probably the most common and absurd excuse I have for not meditating is “I don’t have the time.” It is absurd because while time is always at a premium there are numerous points throughout any given day when a mindless activity (like staring at my phone) could be replaced with two to five minutes of meditation. I know the absurdity of the statement because there are many other areas where a positive habit has been built by simply dictating the conditions for success. And those wins add up!
