YEAR OF ZEN: SPRING: DAY 57

Q: Does your mind become busier when you walk out of a room that you sat thoughtfully in?

A: I absolutely notice a difference when I take a seated position at our kitchen table that has become my “office” at home during the pandemic and shift to teleworking. My mind tends to shift to the things I need to get done, the work tasks, journal entries, and sketch pad that I have stationed near my table outpost. It is a different feeling than the one I get when I sit in a living room chair or couch which are places that have been designated for relaxation, reading, and listening to records.
