Q: What have you learned from the passing nature of physical pain?
A: This is a timely prompt as I have been dealing with some hip and leg pain that has led to different levels of anxiety. It this chronic? It is a sign of something deeper and more destructive? And, then, when I actually sit with the pain and do a meditative body scan, I can locate some of the specific pain points. This has led to clearer thinking and better strategy for stretching and limiting activities that might exacerbate my aches and pains. And, then, over time: it subsides!
