Q: Sometimes leadership comes from the front, sometimes from the back. Where are you most comfortable?

A: Like most things in life, where I feel the most comfortable leading from is highly context specific. I have been thinking on this recently as forces that I fundamentally oppose (authoritarianism, orthodoxy, and so on) continue to make inroads in places they shouldn’t. I am guilty of often thinking, “someone else will come along to fix this mess.” The truth is is that it is going to take the work and leadership of all people operating in good character and good faith (leading from all the angles available to us).
