YEAR OF ZEN: SUMMER: DAY 71

The Favourite - John William Godward

Q: In Buddhism, adherents will dress not for success, but for awakening. Reflect.

A: I do feel that the clothes we wear are a reflection of who/what we are aspiring to be in the moment. When I go to the gym, I don’t wear the clothes that I would wear to the office. And I don’t wear my office clothes when I am at home and trying to relax. I have clothes for sleep, clothes for yard work, and clothes for special occasions. Each is its own reminder of the space I am occupying and the actions that go with it.
