YEAR OF ZEN: WINTER: DAY 83

NGC 346

Q: Sometimes great effort has no effect and other times little things open doors that have been locked. Does this make work harder or easier?

A: Once I cam to the realization of the reality things became easier. And this was became it made me aware of something important. Nothing in life is a zero-sum game. If done with right effort and right intent, actions that seem like they are leading nowhere may be leading to cracks in a wall. They may be shifting momentum so that when the next small thing hits at the right moment, a gate is opened. Another way of saying this is that it is usually the small, unassuming pebbles that can lead to an avalanche.
