YEAR OF ZEN: AUTUMN: DAY 77

Six Tuscan Poets - Giorgio Vasari

Q: Have you ever experienced a barrier becoming a gate?

A: This is a great prompt that is close to my heart and philosophy: spinning gold out of straw. I am certainly not great at it but it is a core tenant of my belief in the power of iterative improvement. Actually, this daily Zen practice is a good example. I have long been a fan of journaling but i have gone through many cycles of trial and error figuring out what works and how I can keep my practice active and sustainable. I have figured out a methodology now where I maintain a daily micro/habit building journal and a dedicated prompt journal that serves as a marker for my day. Barriers exist to be transcended.
